How to hire a web design and development firm in South Florida

South Florida has no shortage of web shops. Here is how to hire one that will still be accountable for the site a year after launch.

A professional-services firm looking for web design in South Florida is usually buying two things at once: a site that looks like it belongs to a serious practice, and someone who will still pick up when a form breaks on a Thursday. Plenty of shops will sell the first. Far fewer will still be on the line for the second.

Here is how to hire for both.

Design and engineering should not be two vendors

A pretty mock that then gets thrown over a wall to whoever is cheap to implement is how you get a site that looks finished and performs like 2014. Ask who designs it, who builds it, and whether those are the same senior people. Fast on a phone, WCAG AA contrast, keyboard-operable, Core Web Vitals budgeted at design time — that is engineering, not a theme.

Websites & Apps retainer is $5,000 upfront, then $125/hour. Most builds run 4–6 months, on average. The written scope names the date. The $1,500 Build Blueprint credits 100% to the engagement retainer if you sign within 14 days (two weeks). After that the blueprint is still yours and the full retainer is due. Hours, pass-through costs, and the monthlies are not reduced. After launch, Keeping is $2,000/month for software care, or Presence at $8,500/month when agents and being found are part of the month.

Ask what happens after launch

Launch is week one of a site's life. Content will change, browsers will move, a plugin will ship a CVE, a form will stop posting. A care plan that is a backup and an uptime ping is not care. Real care is security patches applied before they matter, upgrades done continuously, monitoring a person acts on, and the engineer who wrote the site picking up at two in the morning.

Keeping is for sites and software we built, at $2,000/month, cancel anytime. It does not stand in for a staff seat, and it includes no model usage. If someone else built it, we start with an audit rather than pretending we can stand behind code we have not read.

You should own the site

The accounts, the domain, the CMS, the code. A firm that holds the keys so you cannot leave is not a partner. Ask: if we part ways next quarter, do I walk away with everything, documented, running. The answer should be yes without a pause.

Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and the rest of the coast

A South Florida presence means Eastern time and the option of a room. It does not require a storefront on every beach. What you should require is a written scope, a starting price, and a person who will still be on the work after the launch party. RESILIENCE Agentic Solutions works from the United States and takes this work for professional-services firms along the coast and beyond.

That is the websites-and-apps work: designed and built by the same senior engineer, launched as a site you own, with optional managed care on sites we built. See /services/websites-and-apps.
