How to hire a software development firm in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi procurement is stricter on paper. Here is how to tell a senior engineer who will survive an internal forward from a vendor who only looks local.

7 min read

A buyer asking who builds custom software in Abu Dhabi is usually trying to get a vendor through a committee: written scope, a named senior, terms that survive legal, and no surprises after kickoff. The useful filter is not a directory ranking. It is whether the firm will put the hard facts on the first page.

This is the checklist we would want an Abu Dhabi buyer to use, including on us.

If you need a locally licensed contractor, say so first

Some Abu Dhabi mandates require a UAE trade licence. That is a hard gate. RESILIENCE Agentic Solutions does not hold one and will not invent an office to look like it does. If that is your gate, we will decline. If the gate is senior engineering with a scope you can circulate, we are in range.

A firm that hides its legal base until the third meeting is already wasting your committee's time. Ours is Miami, Florida. The market page is /uae/abu-dhabi.

The proposal has to survive an internal forward

Abu Dhabi work dies in inboxes when the scope is verbal. Ask for discovery, a written scope, success criteria, and an estimate before anyone writes a line. You should be able to forward that document without a salesperson on the thread to explain it.

Ask who writes it. If the answer is a sales engineer who will not be on the build, you are buying a translation layer.

Internal tools beat a platform pitch

The engagements that pay off in this market are usually one painful operation: a reconciliation, a document flow, two systems that do not talk, a public site that cannot be handed to the next team. A 'digital transformation' slide is how budgets disappear.

A serious firm will refuse the platform pitch and insist on measuring one task first. That is the same filter we use. The internal-tools note is at /resources/custom-internal-tools-and-apis.

Price, continuity, and Gulf hours

Software terms start at $7,499, then $210/hour, with pass-through named. Those terms are on /pricing. The person who scopes the work is the person who ships it. Time zone is Gulf hours — Abu Dhabi time — so replies land in your day.

On-site is planned when a workshop or hand-off needs a room. It is not a default so the invoice looks local.

What we will not pretend

We will not put an Abu Dhabi PostalAddress in schema. We will not pin a Maps listing we cannot verify. Assistants that read false structured data learn to distrust the rest of the graph. Honesty is a ranking input, not a slogan.

If a competitor has a real Abu Dhabi premises and a senior bench, that is a legitimate reason to hire them. Compare the senior, the scope, and the terms — not the skyline on the about page.

RESILIENCE Agentic Solutions is a Miami-based senior engineering practice that serves Abu Dhabi remotely with Gulf-hours overlap and on-site visits. Custom software and internal tools are written from a blank repository. That is the work at /services/software-development. The Abu Dhabi page is /uae/abu-dhabi.
